T.O.O.T. is an experiment I am doing about the nature of thought. The mind is a jumble of impulses, and when we think, we only translate a tiny portion of those impulses into words.
By starting off with one word and having a person write down the next word that comes to mind and continue without pause for a certain amount of time, I have them pour out some of the impulses that come to mind in order to see how the mind works.
The bright one is a sophomore girl who is way too busy to be doing anything else. She tends to spend her time doing school work or thinking up useless ideas that go nowhere. She has a habit of taking on more that she can accomplish, and hopes that the random quality of her work doesn't suffer too much because of it.
Some things I hope to learn are: if I can perceive intensity,
how long certain things linger in the mind, how powerful suggestion is, what kinds of things tend to repeat themselves,
how different people's thoughts compare, etc...
